Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Child details you provide: your child's first name, age, and the photo you choose to upload;
• Order details: the email address for digital delivery, and — when print editions open — recipient name, phone and shipping address;
• Basic technical logs needed to keep the service secure and running.

Guardian consent

MengWorks is a service for parents and legal guardians, not for children. By uploading a child's photo and details, you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian (or have their guardian's permission) and that you consent to this policy. We do not market to, or knowingly collect information directly from, children.

How your child's photo is used

• Only to generate the character in the book you ordered — illustrations are AI-assisted and created from your child's photo;
• Shared only with the AI service providers strictly needed to generate your book, under contractual confidentiality;
• Never sold, never rented, and never used for advertising, profiling or training unrelated models;
• We do not build facial-recognition templates or biometric identifiers from uploaded photos.

Deletion — automatic and on request

Uploaded photos are automatically deleted 90 days after your book is delivered. You never have to wait for that: a parent or guardian can ask us to delete a child's photo and personal details at any time by emailing meng@mengworks.com, and we will complete the deletion within 15 business days and confirm by reply. Order records we must keep for tax and consumer-law purposes contain no photos.

Security

Photos and personal details are transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access limited to the systems and staff required to produce and deliver your order.
